Join Flair’s Human Resources team, where trusted partnerships and practical people solutions support leaders and employees across the organization. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources Operations, the People Business Partner (PBP) provides both strategic and day‑day human resources guidance within an assigned portfolio. This role partners closely with leaders to support business performance through effective people practices and organizational support.
The People Business Partner provides guidance on employee relations, labour relations, collective agreement interpretation and application, organizational effectiveness, and change management. Working collaboratively with leaders and cross‑functional teams, the role supports informed people decisions that align with business objectives, company policies, and the applicable collective agreement.
This is a full-time, on‑site position that can be based at our office in Edmonton (YEG), Calgary (YYC), or Toronto (YYZ).
A Day in the Life:- Work closely with the HR team and business leaders to support the execution of people strategies related to retention, engagement, and career development.
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence, including Wellness, Talent, and Learning, to deliver integrated HR solutions that support business and employee needs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders at all levels on employee and labour relations matters, including performance management, progressive discipline, attendance management, accommodations, and other workplace issues.
- Support change management initiatives by working with leaders to implement plans, monitor progress, and ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Provide subject matter expertise on internal HR policies and programs, Canada Labour Code interpretation, collective bargaining agreement application, and other applicable employment legislation.
- Lead investigative meetings with leaders relating to interpersonal conflict, misconduct, policy breaches, and other workplace matters, as required.
- Work closely with leaders to identify talent gaps and support employee development and succession planning initiatives in collaboration with the Talent team.
- Ensure the consistent delivery and implementation of company‑wide HR programs, practices, and processes across the supported portfolio.
- Respond to employee and leader inquiries on a broad range of HR matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Build effective working relationships across the business to support positive employee relations and a consistent employee experience.
- Monitor trends and recurring issues within the supported portfolio and provide recommendations to leaders on appropriate actions and opportunities for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company from time to time.
