Product Manager at Vetster
Join our mission:

We are on the lookout for a forward‑thinking, user‑oriented Product Manager to join our vibrant team. In this crucial role, you will oversee the strategy, planning, development, and launch of new product experiences that continuously raise the bar on quality, performance, and ambition for our cutting‑edge pet health platform. In this role, you’ll lead a team of engineers, designers, and data analysts, while also collaborating with various departments, including Marketing, Customer Experience, Veterinary Services, and Business Development, each with unique challenges and opportunities.

Our Product team, composed of dedicated pet lovers, works tirelessly to enhance the health and happiness of pet parents and veterinary professionals. We are devoted to creating accessible, user‑centric products. Your leadership, strong communication skills, and extensive collaboration will be key in this role.

Please note this is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office at Vetster HQ, at Yonge and Summerhill.

Responsibilities
  • Drive Product Strategy:
    Drive a strategic product roadmap that delivers on business objectives while aligning with our vision of connecting more pet owners with veterinarians. Ensure products are innovative, user‑focused, and drive meaningful impact in delivering pet health solutions.
  • Turn Complexity into Clarity:
    Break down complex problems into discrete phases & clear requirements that deliver value to clients and the business incrementally.
  • Make Informed, Tough Decisions:
    Confidently navigate ambiguity and prioritize impactful initiatives, making difficult decisions with limited information and aligning teams toward shared goals.
  • Champion

    Collaboration:

    Facilitate prompt, seamless collaboration with your team to create a user‑centered, intuitive experience. Balance user‑focused design with business objectives, ensuring every product release aligns with Vetster’s vision.
  • Lead Development Cycles:
    Manage cross‑functional teams from ideation to launch, keeping everyone aligned and on track to meet milestones and deliver exceptional products.
  • Foster Innovation and Strategy:
    Drive product reviews, gather insights from product analytics, and lead strategy sessions to encourage innovation and advance user‑centered design.
  • Conduct User Research:
    Stay ahead of industry trends and spot opportunities for feature enhancements and new product areas that address real user needs.
  • Advocate for Users:
    Champion the voice of the user, continually incorporating feedback to ensure products meet real needs and create value.
  • Set and Measure Objectives:
    Establish measurable objectives through clear OKRs, aligning your work with key goals and company metrics.
What You Bring:
  • Product Management

    Experience:

    3+ years of experience in product management within fast‑paced tech environments. Hands‑on experience scaling one or more of the following in a start‑up environment:
    • Subscription engagement & retention
    • eCommerce platforms & optimization
    • Two‑sided marketplaces
    • Modern healthcare delivery (Human or Animal)
    • Platform transformations (unification & acceleration of cross‑platform delivery)
  • User Experience Insight:
    Proven experience delivering products that exceed user expectations, focusing on thoughtful solutions to problem‑solving. Skilled in collaborating with designers to evaluate and align design solutions with product plans before broader socialization, ensuring they effectively address user needs.
  • Analytical & Technical Insight:
    Skilled in data‑driven decision‑making, leveraging analytics, A/B testing, and user research to guide product strategy. Has enough technical know‑how to talk with engineers about architecture and technical considerations that impact product, and a desire to learn what you don’t know.
  • Outstanding Communication:
    Commitment to developing relationships and communication skills. Able to inspire and guide the product & engineering team and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • User‑Centered Focus:
    Passion for understanding user behavior, with an ability to translate insights into actionable, user‑centered product decisions.
