Senior Cyber Security Engineer – Endpoint Engineering

Job Description

The Protect Platform includes teams across North America with the mandate to protect TD customers, colleagues and shareholders from cyber and financial crimes and fraud. Endpoint Protect is part of the broader Security Engineering team of the Protect Platform. The team plans, evaluates, recommends, designs, operationalizes and supports security solutions focused on protecting endpoints (servers and workstations) in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and lead team members on Endpoint Protect initiatives, either in a leading or supporting capacity.
  • Ensure correct implementation and ongoing operations of TD’s Endpoint Threat Protection and Automation technologies (EDR, AV, FIM, SOAR, etc.) across all TD areas.
  • Contribute to project activities: scoping, estimating, risk identification, status communication, escalation, and cross‑team collaboration to meet project goals.
  • Build relationships with internal teams (Cyber Security Operations, Red/Blue/​Hunting, Threat Intelligence) leveraging additional Endpoint Threat Protection tools.
  • Partner with operations to automate integration and process efficiencies via scripting or software development techniques.
  • Lead and participate in infrastructure changes outside business hours.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including third‑party contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with governance and control groups on risk and compliance issues related to engineering technology and tools.
  • Work with technology partners to research, analyze, and recommend technology solutions.
  • Stay current with technology trends, develop expertise in TD services and products.
  • Support business case development with vendors (RFI/RFP, SLAs).
  • Coach junior colleagues and serve as a reference point throughout the requirements‑management lifecycle.
Job Requirements
  • Experience designing solutions, policies and architecture, and implementing endpoint security tools such as EDR, FIM, Security Automation/Orchestration, Threat Intelligence, Breach Attack Simulation platforms.
  • Experience leading multi‑team projects, managing timelines and deliverables.
  • Extensive OS administration and troubleshooting (Windows, Linux; macOS is a plus).
  • Knowledge of modern digital architecture (cloud, containers, microservices).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for application and network issues.
  • Excellent customer‑service communication with technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Independent learner who thrives in a team environment.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Compute Platform; expertise in Azure/Azure AD/Active Directory/Networks.
