This position is provisionally Hybrid, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist to support testing activities for a public sector client. The engagement involves leading QA efforts across the product lifecycle, including test strategy development, execution, and defect management, while collaborating with business and technical teams to ensure quality delivery.

Contribute towards testing activities for the delivery and product management life cycle, including:

• Lead and contribute to test strategy development, preparation of test cases and scenarios, regression testing, and reporting.
• Manage and schedule all test activities including Dev Ops maintenance, AODA compliance, and stress/load testing.
• Execute test cases and scripts, reconcile and track defects across unit, system, functional, business, and UAT phases.

• Review specifications and design test coverage plans.
• Develop and maintain test artifacts (plans, scripts, data, reports).
• Execute manual and automated test cases and report results.
• Support UAT sessions and guide business users.
• Manage defect logs and facilitate triage sessions.

Must Have:

• 8+ years of QA experience, including leading QA teams and managing defect tracking using collaborative tools.
• Hands‑on experience with SharePoint, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, COTS, SaaS, and Cloud applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dev Ops and version control systems.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and structured methodologies.
• Experience in test management (plans, scenarios, cases, execution), defect lifecycle, and reporting.
• Ability to create and execute SQL queries for data validation.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with automated testing tools and performance/load testing.
• Familiarity with AODA compliance testing.
• Previous public sector experience.
• Ability to adapt plans based on test results and progress.
