We are seeking a Disaster Recovery (DR) Architect with strong operational experience and expertise in designing resilient IT systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with high availability, failover strategies, and disaster recovery planning and execution.

This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure business continuity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement resiliency strategies, including clusters, high availability, and failover solutions.
  • Develop and execute disaster recovery plans and exercises to ensure organizational readiness.
  • Partner with ITSM teams to monitor incidents and problems, participate in root cause analysis, and recommend improvements for resiliency and DR.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure DR considerations are integrated into multi‑tier application designs.
  • Research and stay current on emerging technologies and best practices for disaster recovery and resiliency.
  • Contribute recommendations for continuous improvement based on DR exercise outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • Senior‑level operational experience with Windows or Linux, and functional understanding of both.
  • Strong expertise in resiliency design, including clusters, high availability, and failover.
  • Proven experience in disaster recovery planning, exercise coordination, and execution.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including virtualization, databases, SAN/NAS storage, messaging, networking, and cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Familiarity with Service Now and Jira for incident and problem management.
  • Knowledge of multi‑tier application design.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
