Job Description

Entain Canada is hiring a Social Media Strategist to shape and lead the social strategy for Sports Interaction and Party Casino in Canada. This role is responsible for setting the social direction across platforms, building channel and content strategies that support brand and business goals, and turning performance insights into clear recommendations.

You’ll partner closely with key stakeholders and the existing social media team to plan, guide, and optimize social activity across platforms. You’ll also lead influencer strategy and support content partnerships end-to-end, from identifying opportunities through to overseeing execution and performance.

This role is strategy led and insight driven. You’ll focus on building plans, defining what great looks like across platforms, and using performance data to continuously improve how we show up on social.

What you’ll Do

Social Strategy and Planning

  • Own the social strategy across Sports Interaction and Party Casino, including channel roles, content pillars, audience and content approach

  • Build always on and campaign social plans aligned to business goals, seasonal moments, and key sports and cultural calendars

  • Create clear strategic briefs to guide content development, including objectives, creative direction, deliverables, and success metrics

  • Define a testing roadmap (formats, hooks, messaging, cadence) and ensure learnings are captured and applied

Collaboration and Ways of Working

  • Partner closely with the Social Media Producer (s) to turn strategy into clear weekly content priorities and planning

  • Guide what content to make, why it matters, and how it ladders up to brand campaigns, cultural moments, and business goals

  • Lead planning to align the content calendar, upcoming priorities, and testing opportunities

  • Review performance regularly with the producing team and translate insights into changes to content mix, formats, hooks, and channel approach

  • Ensure influencer and partnership deliverables are built into the content calendar and supported with the right amplification plan

  • Establish clear ways of working across briefing, approvals, and post-campaign learnings so execution is fast, consistent, and on brand

Campaign Tie In and Stakeholder Alignment

  • Ensure key brand campaigns carry through on social by translating campaign priorities into platform native social organic content

  • Partner closely with Brand to align social plans with broader marketing priorities, timelines, and messaging

  • Ensure campaign content is adapted per platform rather than simply reposted, balancing brand consistency with performance

  • Lead post campaign social readouts: what worked, what didn’t, and what to change next time

Influencer Strategy and Content Partnerships (End-to-End)

  • Own influencer strategy, including identifying creators, shaping content angles, and building briefs that drive authentic, platform first content

  • Identify and evaluate new content partnership opportunities aligned with brand goals (sports, entertainment, culture, talent, media, events)

  • Oversee influencer and partnership execution, ensuring quality, brand fit, compliance, and on-time delivery

  • Work with to integrate influencer and partner content into the social calendar and amplify it effectively

Performance, Insights, and Optimization

  • Establish social KPIs and define what success looks like across channels and campaigns

  • Lead performance reporting and insights: what happened, why it happened, and what we should do next

  • Translate analytics into recommendations that improve content performance, channel growth, and campaign impact

  • Track platform trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and guide future planning

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 6+ years of experience in social strategy, digital content strategy, influencer marketing, or integrated marketing, ideally within sports, entertainment, gaming, or consumer brands

  • Proven ability to build social strategies that drive measurable outcomes and strengthen brand relevance

  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Tik Tok, X, and You Tube, with a point of view on platform roles and content mechanics
