We are Bagel Labs, a distributed machine learning research lab working toward open-source superintelligence. Our flagship product is a state-of-the-art image and video generation model and platform that lets users create visual content from text prompts and reference images.

We ignore years of experience and pedigree. If you have high agency, and your default assumption is that you can control the outcome of whatever situation you are in, we want to hear from you. Every requirement below is flexible for a candidate with enough agency and tolerance for ambiguity.

You will own core pieces of our image and video generation product at , working across both the model serving infrastructure and the user-facing application. You ll ship features end to end, from API and infra design to frontend polish. You ll work closely with research and data teams to turn our latest generative models into reliable creative tools.

• Design and build full-stack features for our image and video generation platform, from backend APIs to frontend UX
• Own model serving paths for diffusion and transformer-based generative models, including routing, scaling, GPU orchestration, and observability
• Collaborate with research teams to productize new generation capabilities (text-to-image, image-to-video, video-to-video, style transfer, etc.)
• Build interfaces for prompt input, generation settings, and media management
• Improve reliability, performance, and latency across our inference stack and user flows
• Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP for both app and GPU inference workloads
• Establish good engineering practices around code quality, monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD

You can jump between frontend code, backend services, and cloud infrastructure when needed. You care about UX and reliability in equal measure, and you like turning raw generative model capabilities into real product experiences. You re up for the challenge of serving large models at low latency and high throughput, and you want to own entire flows rather than narrow slices of the stack.

• Strong full-stack experience: you can work across web frontend, backend services, and APIs
• Comfort with deploying and operating services on AWS and/or GCP (networking, security, IAM, monitoring, GPU instances)
• Experience integrating ML or generative AI backends into user-facing products is a plus
• Familiarity with serving diffusion models, video models, or other large generative architectures is a plus
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is a plus
• Experience building and operating high-traffic or low-latency systems is a plus
• Active Git Hub or portfolio with real shipped projects is a plus
