YOUR MISSION

As the Head of Infrastructure, you will define and execute the strategic vision for Nulogy’s cloud infrastructure and production operations. You’ll ensure our systems are highly available, scalable, and secure to support our customers’ mission‑critical supply chain operations. You’ll lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers, collaborate with Product Development teams, and continuously improve how we build, deploy, and operate our applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure high availability of Kubernetes‑based platforms; lead incident response and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Define and execute the roadmap for scalability, performance, and cost optimization across all infrastructure layers.
  • Improve our DR architecture and orchestrate regular DR drills.
  • Provide recommendations for cost reduction (in AWS), as well as making valuable contributions to identifying and addressing scalability issues with the platform as a whole.
  • Recommend security enhancements for triage/risk assessment.
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines, build environments, and monitoring systems to maximize developer productivity and deployment quality.
  • Maintain and improve the structure of all of Nulogy’s infrastructure as a code (e.g. Terraform, Cloud formation, Helm)
  • Propose projects that provide value and improve infrastructure and practices.
  • Participate in team on‑call rotation.
  • Write and maintain documentation such as reference, how‑to guides, architectural decision records and tutorials.
  • Foster a culture of reliability engineering, automation, and continuous improvement across Infrastructure and Development teams.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Expert level proficiency in AWS (particularly EKS, RDS, S3, Kafka, Guard Duty, in addition to general service agnostic principles).
  • Expertise in Kubernetes support and maintenance, both the cluster/infrastructure itself as well as all manner of work to assure optimum pod health.
  • Expertise of tactics to sustain optimal performance of relational databases such as Postgre

    SQL or MySQL.
  • Developer tooling (shell scripting, optimizing local developer environments, etc.)
  • Aptitude for working in a mission critical computing space (i.e. being methodical, data driven and detail oriented).
  • Expertise in security best practices (e.g. OWASP, etc.)
  • Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines (currently Buildkite).
  • Expertise in working with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform), including best practices and configuration maintenance.
  • Experience in audited environments such as SOC2, ISO
    27001, etc.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred, but we will also consider candidates that meet the experience requirements listed above.
