A transformation expert adept at solving complex business problems and comfortable both leading projects and diving into technical detail. You travel regularly to client sites and work in teams while guiding delivery through complex technical landscapes.
The Work- Architectural ownership: lead the end‑to‑end technical architecture for SAP programs spanning multiple technologies.
- Sales cycle leadership: drive technical solutioning for RFPs, proposals, and client presentations; participate in workshops and pre‑sales activities.
- Target‑state & transition architectures: define target‑state, transition, and solution architectures aligned with SAP Clean Core and cloud‑first strategies.
- Integration architecture: design scalable integration frameworks across SAP and non‑SAP systems using APIs, event‑driven and middleware patterns.
- Standards & governance: establish architectural standards, principles, and guardrails; ensure strict adherence across all delivery teams.
- Technology evaluation: assess and select technologies, frameworks, and tools based on performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Landscape design: design SAP landscapes for development, testing, production, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Architectural governance: provide oversight through design reviews, technical decision forums, and quality gates to maintain architectural integrity.
- Collaboration:
work closely with security, infrastructure, and data teams to ensure holistic architectural alignment. - Solution support: support solution design in early phases, including feasibility studies, proof‑of‑concepts, and architecture validation.
- Mentorship: mentor senior developers and technical leads on complex design and implementation challenges.
- Travel on client side will be expected; ability to work with geographically distributed teams.
- SAP S/4
HANA technical architecture and extensibility - SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- ABAP and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
- SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
- Integration technologies and patterns (REST, OData, messaging, events)
- SAP HANA high availability, replication, and disaster recovery
- Identity, authentication, and authorization across SAP landscapes
- Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP technical architecture, platform architecture, or enterprise integration.
- Proven expertise in architecting complex SAP solutions across S/4
HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori/UI technologies, integration, data, and security layers. - Advanced integration architecture skills across SAP and non‑SAP systems, including API‑led, event‑driven, and hybrid patterns.
- Hands‑on experience defining extensibility models aligned to SAP Clean Core strategy.
- Strong proficiency with SAP BTP services:
Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, Cloud Foundry, and Kyma. - Experience designing hybrid and cloud‑first architectures.
- Deep understanding of non‑functional requirements: performance, scalability, availability, and security.
- Proven expertise in SAP RISE, S/4
HANA Conversion, Basis‑S/4
HANA ABAP Platform administration, SAP HANA administration, server sizing. - Experience producing architecture documentation and technical standards.
- Exceptional problem‑solving abilities and strong decision‑influencing skills; soft skills to establish trustworthy client relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree or completion of a related college program.
- English is required; regular interaction with stakeholders across Canada, US, and other countries.
- Certification in SAP Technology, SAP Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture.
- Experience with SAP BRIM components (Convergent Charging, Convergent Mediation).
- Experience supporting solution architecture for large‑scale programs or platform modernization initiatives.
- Strong documentation and storytelling skills.
- Fluency in French.
Base pay ranges for this role:
British Columbia/Ontario $99,450 to $209,900. Compensation will be tailored based on location, role, skills, and experience.
