Description:

We’re hiring a Mid‑Level AI Engineering Specialist to build and integrate AI‑powered services on Microsoft Azure. You’ll use Python and Azure Functions to deliver scalable APIs, leverage Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure AI Foundry/Studio, and enable secure integrations across enterprise systems using Azure API Management (APIM).

• Develop Python services and Azure Functions (HTTP triggers, Durable Functions, timers/queues).
• Build RAG and search experiences with Azure OpenAI (GPT/embeddings) and Azure AI Search.
• Expose and manage services via APIM (policies: auth, throttling, transformation, caching).
• Integrate AI services with internal systems (APIs, webhooks, messaging).
• Implement security & governance (Entra /Managed Identity, Key Vault, private endpoints).
• Add observability (Application Insights, structured logging, dashboards).
• Collaborate with product/architecture to deliver reliable, cost‑efficient solutions.

• Languages/Frameworks:
  Python (FastAPI/Flask), async I/O
• Azure:
  Azure Functions, APIM, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Foundry/Studio, Key Vault, Storage, Container Apps/App Service, Service Bus/Event Grid
• Data:
  Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage
• Dev Ops:
  Git Hub or Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD, IaC (Bicep/Terraform), Docker
• Security:
  Entra  (Azure AD), Managed Identities, Private Endpoints/VNET

• 5+ years building backend/services with Python.
• Hands‑on with Azure Functions and serverless patterns.
• Practical experience with Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search (embeddings, vector indexes, RAG).
• Solid API engineering skills (REST; Graph
  
  QL a plus) and APIM policy configuration.
• Experience integrating services into enterprise apps (CRM/ERP/custom) via APIs or events.
• Understanding of security, performance, and reliability for production workloads.
• Clear communication, ownership mindset, and comfort working in agile teams.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000 - $130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
