About The Role Seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to support internal delivery teams with end-to-end data pipeline development using Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and PySpark. Responsibilities include building scalable pipelines, optimizing Azure data platforms, and supporting analytics and reporting needs.
In This Role, You Will- Develop and maintain ADF, Synapse, and Databricks pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
- Build PySpark based transformations and Delta Lake datasets in Databricks.
- Design and optimize data models, data lakes, and warehouse structures in Azure.
- Ensure data quality, metadata, and governance compliance including RBAC and security standards.
- Collaborate with business teams, analysts, and architects to deliver scalable solutions.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered- Hands on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL.
- Strong PySpark, Python, and SQL skills.
- Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and Delta Lake.
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD.

Salary And Other CompensationThe annual salary for this position is between $67,000 - $105,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
