• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for generative AI applications, optimizing data storage, retrieval, and processing for peak performance.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines tailored to AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft CoPilot Studio), enabling rapid and reliable deployment of backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend solutions with frontend components and streamline development and deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of backend infrastructure and AI services.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager to create scalable, efficient, and secure environments.
• Optimize cloud resources and manage configurations to support dynamic business needs, leveraging platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Maintain and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across backend and Dev Ops processes.
• Drive automation and process improvements to boost productivity and reduce manual tasks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and deployment processes, tools, and best practices.

• Proven experience in backend development (Python, Java, Node.js) for AI applications.
• Strong proficiency with database technologies (SQL, No
  
  SQL, data warehousing).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops).
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Power Shell).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (Azure, AWS).
• Infrastructure as code expertise (Terraform, Azure Resource Manager).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.

The base salary range for this position in Canada is $72,000 - $128,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
