Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a proactive and diligent Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Specialist to support developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans. These plans cover key applications and services and align with global and segment standards. In this role, you will help the business achieve its disaster recovery testing objectives while serving as a trusted domain resource. You will also support global partners by promoting improved recovery methods and stronger testing and validation practices, contributing to continuous improvement in resilience and risk posture.
This role is ideal for someone with foundational knowledge of IT systems and risk management who is eager to grow in the field of disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) documentation, including recovery plans, runbooks, and testing schedules.
- Support DR testing activities, including planning, execution, and results analysis.
- Monitor and report on DR readiness across applications and services.
- Coordinate with internal partners to support DR audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with L2 Risk and technology teams to improve recovery plans and address audit findings.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and audit evidence in corporate tracking systems.
- Occasional after-hours and weekend work to implement DR plans.
- Responsible to keep corporate audit databases up to date with statuses, issues, remediation plans, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Disaster Recovery, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in disaster recovery, IT operations, or risk management.
- Understanding of disaster recovery concepts and IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with backup solutions, cloud recovery platforms, or related technologies.
- Good communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Occasional after hours and weekends required.
- Certifications such as CBCP, CFCP, MBCP, ABCP, ISO 22301, or ITIL are an asset; equivalent experience is also valued.

Salary range is expected to be between CAD 86,100.00 and CAD . If applying for this role outside the primary location, please contact for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary based on location, knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Eligible employees may participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to performance.
