Job Description

We are seeking an Analyst, Application Support with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our dynamic Technology team. This critical role ensures the optimal performance of our Azure-based applications and provides top-tier support to internal users. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Azure services, effective problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional user support.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

• Must have : 2+ years of hands‑on experience in application support, specifically with a focus on Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions).
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Azure-based applications and services.

• Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure and its core services.
• Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and cloud automation tools.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Power Shell, Azure CLI).
• Proficiency in SQL and database management in Azure environments.

• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for user support and team collaboration.
• Ability to work autonomously and contribute effectively to team efforts.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of service.

• Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900) or higher (e.g., AZ‑104: Azure Administrator Associate).
• ITIL Foundation or similar service management certification.

• Azure Application Support:
  Provide expert‑level support for applications hosted on Microsoft Azure, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues.
• Incident Management:
  Monitor, log, and prioritize support tickets for Azure‑based applications, ensuring timely resolution in line with established SLAs.
• User Assistance and Training:
  Guide users on best practices for Azure applications and offer hands‑on assistance to maximize the effectiveness of these tools.
• Monitoring and Reporting:
  Utilize Azure Monitor and other related tools to proactively track application performance and prepare comprehensive reports to identify issues and areas for optimization.
• Configuration and Maintenance:
  Assist in the configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of applications within the Azure environment.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with cloud architects, developers, and IT operations teams to ensure seamless integration and support for Azure‑based systems.
• Documentation:
  Create and maintain thorough documentation, such as user guides, technical procedures, and knowledge base articles focused on Azure solutions.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
  
  Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new Azure deployments and post‑implementation reviews to confirm application stability.
• Process Enhancement:
  Recommend improvements and best practices for Azure application management to elevate user experience and system performance.

Compensation:
The expected base salary compensation for this role is $63,082.40 to $81,697.20 CAD annually.
