As the Senior Development Manager, you will lead the technical design and development of application systems on Finance and Audit Team, managing IT support staff and vendor resources to ensure efficient response to business client, application development and quality assurance teams. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.
What will you do?
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, COE teams and the Architecture Design Authority to determine the best mix of development and technical solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.

  • Actively participate in the detailed design phases of project initiatives; identify, track, and resolve technical issues, ensuring solutions meet sponsor needs and project life cycle deliverables.

  • Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing / recommending mitigation strategies.

  • Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implementation, and maintenance phases of the project.

  • Ensure adequate technical/reference documentation and training is in place.

  • Provide hands-on assistance to the application support team in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

  • Engage in coding, code reviews, and technical problem-solving to ensure high-quality software delivery.

  • WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
    ?
    Must have:
  • Provide direct, day-to-day supervision of staff and contractors.

  • 6+ years of experience in software development in related technologies with increasing responsibilities and complexity. 2+ years in team lead or similar capacity with full end-to-end ownership in delivering a project.

  • Expert with Python and experience with C++, C#, .NET, HTML

  • Hands-on experience with the mainframe environment, JCL, COBOL, SYSIN, etc. and knowledge of Zeke scheduling.

  • Understanding of infrastructure management, including Windows and Unix servers, NAS, SAN, and other systems

  • Hands-on experience with distributed platforms with an understanding of migrating from legacy mainframe to alternate platforms. Exposure to Dev Ops practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines.

  • This is a lead role - Demonstrated strong team leadership and ability in written and oral communication skills, along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.

  • Positive attitude, open communication, teamwork, and commitment to deliver successful results.

  • Experience with Job scheduling tools like Zeke.

  • Exposure to GenAI tools and best practices.

  • Solid knowledge of Agile development methodologies and enterprise change management processes.

  • Knowledge of data governance and security practices

  • Prior experience in the Financial Industry.
