We’re seeking a Lead QA Engineer to elevate our testing strategy and ensure every release meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. You’ll be a key part of our engineering leadership, guiding QA best practices across teams and shaping how we build and deliver exceptional experiences.

Own the end-to-end testing lifecycle across Backcountry’s web, mobile, and platform systems. Define scalable QA frameworks, automation strategies, and release validation standards.
Develop, coach, and grow QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement.
Champion automation within our development pipelines. Expand coverage through modern tools and frameworks (, Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium).
Partner with product managers, developers, and Dev Ops to integrate QA early in the SDLC, ensuring rapid and reliable deployments.
Define and track key performance indicators for product quality, defect density, test coverage, and release reliability.
Stay ahead of emerging QA methodologies (AI-driven testing, shift-left, performance engineering) to continually improve efficiency and accuracy.
