Senior Application Architect
Pay Rate: CAD $105-CAD $110/Hr

Senior Application Architects to support a provincial laboratory information repository and eOrdering platform under a multi-year digital health modernization initiative. The program aims to replace paper-based/fax workflows with secure digital solutions, improve clinical processes, reduce administrative burden, and enhance connectivity between patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and enhance repository and eOrdering applications.
- Support patient identification, order management (creation, status updates, repetition), and results management functionalities.
- Develop notification modules including front-end data capture and authentication, and back-end subscription storage.
- Participate in solution design, performance optimization, security, and system integration activities.
- Provide technical documentation, demos, and full knowledge transfer at assignment end.
- 6-8 years’ experience designing and developing applications in electronic health-related projects, including clinical systems deployment.
- 2-3 years’ experience with REDIS, Node.js, Handlebars, and OAuth.
- 2-3 years’ experience working with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
- 3-4 years’ experience defining and implementing health system business requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with healthcare information systems and clinical data.
- Knowledge of integrated networking technologies, enterprise infrastructure, and system architecture.
- Experience designing large, complex, highly available, mission-critical applications.
- Understanding of privacy and health information legislation (e.g., PHIPA, FIPPA, HPPA).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
