• Platform Documentation:
  • Document Akamai API Security configurations, policies, and integration workflows.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of API protection mechanisms, threat detection rules, and platform capabilities.
• Business Process Mapping:
  • Analyze and document business processes related to API security operations.
  • Identify process improvements and standardization opportunities.
• Cross‑Team
  
  Collaboration:
  • Engage with engineering, security, Dev Ops, and product teams to gather technical and business requirements.
  • Facilitate knowledge‑sharing sessions and interviews to capture detailed process information.
• Business Flow Diagrams:
  • Create and maintain business flow diagrams and process models using tools like Lucidchart, Visio, or equivalent.
  • Ensure diagrams accurately reflect API traffic flows, security checkpoints, and integration touchpoints.
• Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical documentation.
  • Support solution design and validation with stakeholders.
• Reporting & Communication:
  • Present documentation and findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and security implementations.

The annual salary for this position is between $85,000- $110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
