Position: Senior Devops Engineer (Capital Markets Technology)

In this role you will:
partner with peer engineers and various GBME teams for maintaining and upgrading software components.Work closely with system owners to understand requirements from end of life, compliance standpoint, conduct gap analysis and requirements assessments as neededBe involved in remediating code vulnerabilities (code or library reference), responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation.Design test sets and automate where possible, including functional and non-functional testing, regression testing as well as performance testingAble to work with and refactor legacy code (as needed).Participate in daily stand-upsDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.Ensure business specifications/requirements documentation is accurately prepared and comprehensive to support sizing/development efforts and as input to various project documentation.Develop and deliver Business Requirements Documents, Design Documents, Use Cases, and Process Models as required.Participate in the development of detailed project plans, the monitoring of progress against planned objectives, the financial review, and securing consensus and co-operation from users and senior management.Work closely across GBME technology teams during all stages of the system development life cycle and bridge the gap between business and technology sides of the solution.Liaising between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet user needs.Build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues in Global regions.Support production issues and handle escalations during Release cycles as needed.Perform ad hoc work as neededDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? 4+ years experience and product business knowledge in capital markets. (Must have skill)Minimum 4 years’ working knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, with ability to create and run queries independently. Oracle database knowledge is preferred.Skills in automating IT tasks like configuration management, app deployment, and orchestration using playbooks, roles, and modules to streamline operations, reduce manual work, and integrate with CI/CD pipelinesScripting languages like Bash, Shell are crucial for writing automation scripts for system administration tasks.Understanding of Linux fundamentals, including file systems, permissions, package management, and command-line utilities. Proficiency in Linux helps in managing server environments efficiently.Infrastructure management involves provisioning, configuring, and maintaining servers and networking components. Experience in Tools like Ansible, Puppet for automating infrastructure management tasks.Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver working results.Must be proficient in programming languages like Python or Java to automate tasks and create tools to streamline development and deployment.Proficient in user management, software installation, and system monitoring.Proficient in using Git to track changes, merge code, and manage code repositories effectively.Knowledge of Big Data structures (Kafka) is strongly preferred.What's in it for you?
