Enterprise Architect, Architecture Governance
What is the Opportunity?
We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect for the EA Governance function an Enterprise Architect you will be a key member of the Enterprise Architecture team, supporting and maturing governance practices through our Application Portfolio Management (APM) team and Technology Governance Processes and Certification, responsible for developing governance frameworks and operationalizing processes that ensure the highest level of governance and compliance for our organization.
You will collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, risk and second line of defence, and external partners, to ensure alignment and support for architecture governance and business architecture initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technology governance frameworks to ensure IT strategies align with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Lead business architecture initiatives to model and optimize organizational capabilities, processes, and information flows
- Establish policies and standards for technology selection, implementation, and highlight rationalization & reuse opportunities
- Conduct architecture reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with governance policies and enterprise architecture principles
- Create and maintain business capability models, value stream maps, and process architectures
- Mentor enterprise architects and business analysts in governance processes and business architecture methodologies
- Maintain and refresh OKRs/KRIs and related dashboards for Governance and Product Lifecycle processes
- Contribute to ongoing administrative program/project activities as required
- 5+ years in enterprise architecture or related roles with proven focus on technology governance
- Demonstrated experience implementing business architecture practices (e.g., business capability modeling, process optimization)
- Hands‑on work with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent) and governance methodologies (COBIT, ITIL)
- Experience negotiating technology risk postures with 2
LoD, 3
LoD or external regulators - Quantifiable achievements in cost optimization, compliance improvement, or revenue growth through governance initiatives
- Leading technology governance programs in complex enterprise environments
- Business process modeling and analysis (BPMN, UML)
- Developing technology policies, standards, and compliance frameworks
- Cross‑functional leadership in digital transformation initiatives
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Analytical thinking with ability to translate business needs into technical governance requirements
- Fluency in business value articulation – translating technical governance into ROI and risk mitigation metrics
- Knowledge of emerging technologies (Agentic AI) and their governance implications
- Facilitation skills for architecture review boards and governance committees
- Certification in architecture/governance frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, COBIT, CISM) is highly desirable
- Background in IT Risk for a Financial Institution
- Executive/stakeholder communication experience
- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across multiple LOBs and technical domains
