Senior Business Analyst – Health IT / Medical Imaging
Location: Hybrid – Ontario, Canada (Up to 5 days onsite, as required)
Employment Type: Contract (1 year with potential extension)
Compensation: $75.00-$95.00 per hour
Stafingo is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a dynamic Health IT project team supporting the implementation of a cutting-edge Medical Imaging Program. This role will focus on Enterprise Imaging Vendor Neutral Archive (EI-VNA) initiatives and other related program efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis for Health IT initiatives, including requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Develop and maintain clear, structured business and functional requirements, process flows, use cases, and supporting artifacts.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, clinicians, technical teams, and external vendors to understand business needs and solution impacts.
- Support implementation planning for the EI-VNA, including site onboarding, data migration, integration, and operational readiness.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities in current processes and propose future-state solutions.
- Facilitate prioritization of requirements based on business value, risk, feasibility, and impact.
- Contribute to testing, validation, and post-implementation evaluation to ensure solutions meet intended outcomes.
- Ensure full knowledge transfer to the internal team, documenting key processes and deliverables.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Informatics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years performing business analysis on health I&IT initiatives, including requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
- Experience with clinical and medical imaging workflows, engaging with radiologists, imaging technologists, and other clinicians.
- Expertise in medical imaging platforms (PACS, VNA, image brokers, integration engines).
- Knowledge of clinical repositories (XDS, FHIR) and point-of-care systems (HIS, RIS, EMR, Clinical Viewer, Image Viewer).
- Familiarity with standards and interoperability profiles: HL7v2, FHIR®, DICOM, IHE.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in the public or private health sector preferred.

- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading business modeling, use case modeling, and process/data flow modeling.
- Familiarity with project management concepts, including risk, scope, and quality management.
- Ability to support solution delivery, testing, operational readiness, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Awareness of trends in medical imaging, digital health, and interoperability.
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
