Calypso Systems Analyst

BMO is currently sourcing for a Calypso Systems Analyst to support the Capital Markets Middle Office and Derivative Operations teams. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (2 days in office per week).

Role Overview :
The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying business needs for new and enhanced products while improving systems and processes to support derivative product groups. This position requires hands-on experience with Calypso configuration while supporting strategic initiatives and enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and clarify Calypso business needs for new products, services, and processes.
- Act as the lead representative for Capital Markets Middle Office in managing Calypso business issues.
- Capture, analyze, and document Calypso business requirements to guide stakeholders effectively.
- Create, implement, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans for Calypso.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions to address large, complex business problems.
- Build and leverage relationships across business functions to promote collaboration.
- Provide consultancy and advice on system automation, usability of technology, and process improvements.

Must-Have

Skills:

- Hands-on configuration and operational experience with Calypso.
- Advanced business analysis and operations support experience, ideally over 5+ years.
- Strong knowledge of project management and system development life cycle.
- Familiarity with business assessment tools, process modeling, and data modeling.
- In-depth understanding of Derivative Operations and Capital Markets Middle Office.

Ideal Candidate:
- Holds or is pursuing advanced designations such as MBA, CFA, CBAP, PMP, or FRM.
- Proven experience with delivery of complex projects across multiple LOBs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
