• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within Scotiabank as part of senior Active Directory and security team. You will get to work with and learn from diverse industry leaders, who have hailed from top technology.• Reporting to Director Enterprise Platform – AD Engineering, the Active Directory Engineer will be working with multiple stakeholders and members of the team
• Attend weekly project meetings, provide technical advice related to Active Directory state of affair based on analysis of collected reports as well as recommending best practices
• Implement changes following Scotiabank CAB standards
• Identify gaps in the current standards or AD state
• Action on recommendations and tasks assigned to the team
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
• 8+ years of working experience as an Active Directory Engineer and AD SME
• 8+ years of hands-on technical working experience in supporting & deploying AD, GPO & DNS in a large corporate environment with 20,000 end-users or more
• Excellent knowledge with AD security, security principles and standards, GPOs, AD trusts, and Privileged Access
• Industry certification such as Microsoft and/or Cybersecurity certification required
• Skilled in Power Shell, and productivity tools
• Skills in Power
BI is an asset
• Knowledge of project management principles
• Experience with Power Shell scripting
• Previous FI/Banking experience is a plus
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate and work closely with internal and external business partners
• Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions.
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
• Good time management and organizational skills to effectively manage high scale project.
• Post-secondary in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field is an asset
