Our client in the public sector is seeking contract based Systems Adminstrator to support enterprise COTS products across pre-production and production environments while providing Level 2/3 operational support in a 24/7 setting.
Location:
Hybrid 4d/week Toronto
Duration: 12 months
Responsibilities- Support pre-go-live project activities including configuration, data migration, and system integration
- Execute committed project deliverables within defined timelines
- Deploy applications across pre-production and production environments
- Support testing activities associated with project implementations
- Contribute to automation initiatives and ongoing development improvements
- Provide Level 2/3 on-call support to meet defined business SLAs
- Troubleshoot incidents and problems across application, database, and environment layers
- Perform ITIL-related activities including RFCs, problem management, and change coordination
- Conduct health monitoring, proactive system checks, and environment stability reviews
- Perform monthly patching, weekly database cleanups, and quarterly patch management
- Manage daily data reconciliation between site and central systems
- Apply service packs and remediation fixes to reduce technical debt
- Support certificate management and application security configurations
- Assist with underlying infrastructure coordination required for application deployments
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise application deployment and production support
- Strong experience supporting vendor-developed COTS applications in a major corporate environment
- Proven experience providing Level 2/3 application support in a 24/7 operational model
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting across application, API, database, and environment layers
- Experience with application configuration, data migration, and system integration support
- Strong understanding of database management and data reconciliation processes
- Experience with patch management, environment upgrades, and system health monitoring
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes including incident, problem, and change management
- Experience managing certificates and secure deployments
- Basic understanding of underlying infrastructure required to deploy applications
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to reduce technical debt and improve stability
- On call work for level 2/3 support to meet the SLA with business
