Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Testing Manager, Product Management Design and Solutions, Global Case Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the Business testing environment. Contributes to delivery of the Global AML Transformation program & ECM 25 “Oracle Upgrade” project and day-to-day support activities. Works with Sr Manager Product Management Design & Solutions and coordinates across stakeholders (Technology, AMA, Business Lines, AML Risk, PMO, and others) to support the testing process, including but not limited to:
- Testing plans
- Test data strategies
- KPI tools for communicating results to the business on time and within budget for assigned products/platforms/services
Key activities include:
- Supporting the Senior Manager in formulating strategy for assigned product areas (Automation, Machine Learning & AI) and journeys, delivering the strategic roadmap, prioritizing initiatives, and securing resources
- Defining and translating user needs into requirements; managing backlog grooming and prioritization; supporting scheduling and delivery of backlog items; overseeing design, sign-off, and technology engagement
- Applying technical understanding to formulate solutions and design documentation; monitoring new technologies to improve the product
- Understanding core journeys, analyzing competition trends, and generating ideas for product delivery
- Maintaining environment configuration documentation; generating reports on environment usage, performance, and issues; communicating status to stakeholders; using Jira/Confluence to support action items
Testing and risk considerations:
- Managing queries and data programming for large databases; addressing complex business issues and operational support practices; performing analysis to obtain insights
- Collaborating on problem discovery, solution evaluation and design; delivering well-researched business cases with justified investments
- Balancing product- and project-oriented approaches; articulating business problems to guide solution selection; engaging with architects and development leads to validate solutions and metrics
- Ensuring testing environment compliance with bank security policies; participating in planning; supporting delivery roadmap; prioritizing testing & development life cycle
- Identifying internal and external risks and mitigating through alignment with risk appetite and culture
- Providing oversight and coaching to assigned resources; sustaining a high-performance environment and cross-team collaboration
- Providing testing support by reviewing test plans/cases, analyzing results, and conducting Product Owner Acceptance Testing for Initiatives impacting Enterprise case management
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior Scotiabank experience highly preferred
- Experience with change management and stakeholder influence
- Strong analytical, project management and communication skills
- Experience with risk management procedures, processes, and tools
- AML experience and understanding of the Oracle system is an advantage
- Proven problem-solving ability and initiative in program support
- Ability to operate independently and manage complex priorities under time pressure
- Solid judgment, negotiation skills, and practical implementation approach
- Ability to balance regulatory requirements with client interests
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, finance, or related field
- Understanding of human behavior in UI design and product strategy; design thinking; systems thinking
- Experience with Power BI, Google Cloud; JIRA, Web Content Management; UX wire framing; SQL and Python
- Experience supporting complex implementations and data migration
Ability to independently manage high-value deliverables under resource constraints.
