** Position Summary
** The Hardware Specialist is responsible for the installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of POS and payment hardware across Volante’s client base. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong troubleshooting ability, and effective client service skills. The Hardware Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of all deployed hardware systems.#
** Key Responsibilities*
* · Install, configure, and maintain POS terminals, kiosks, payment devices, and related peripherals.
· Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, escalating to vendors or internal teams when necessary.
· Assist in hardware rollouts, upgrades, and large-scale deployments for enterprise clients.
· Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
· Maintain documentation of hardware assets, configurations, and service records.
· Collaborate with software and support teams to ensure seamless system integration.
· Ensure all hardware meets compliance, security, and performance standards.
· Provide on-site support as needed, including occasional weekend work.# Qualifications
· 2–4 years of experience in hardware support, IT, or a related technical discipline.
· Proven troubleshooting skills in POS, kiosk, and payment hardware systems.
· Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, switches, routers, and cabling.
· Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating environments.
· Strong communication and client-facing skills.
· Ability to work onsite full-time, with flexibility for occasional weekend assignments.#
** Preferred Skills*
* · CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
· Experience in enterprise-scale POS hardware deployments.
· Knowledge of payment industry standards and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS).
