Job Summary:
The L&D Designer/Developer assesses learning needs, consults with stakeholders, and designs and develops high-quality, fully accessible blended learning solutions supporting a complex, fast-paced learning initiative within North American Customer Operations. This role operates in an agile environment with iterative design and development cycles and is responsible for leading the learning strategy and executing the vision of the program in partnership with stakeholders and the L&D pod.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess learning needs and recommend solutions broken into agile two-week increments.

  • Allocate work and deliver high-quality learning solutions aligned to business metrics.

  • Synthesize and communicate complex information using clear language principles.

  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Review source content and requirements to identify learning needs.

  • Partner with SMEs to capture content-specific knowledge.

  • Design and develop engaging, interactive blended learning solutions across modalities (eLearning, instructor-led classroom and virtual, and self-led learning).

  • Ensure alignment with brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and diversity and inclusion principles.

  • Manage scope, risks, stakeholder engagement, and problem resolution.

  • Apply best practices in agile instructional design and development.

  • Provide thought leadership in incremental design and development approaches.

  • Analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

  • Identify and manage risks, escalating concerns as necessary.

  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer and Developer.

  • Strong consulting background in determining learning needs and creating learning proposals.

  • Advanced experience designing high-quality, fully accessible learning solutions across modalities.

  • Advanced eLearning and simulation development using Articulate 360 suite.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint and Word).

  • Experience designing fully accessible solutions in alignment with WCAG 2.1 standards, including testing with screen readers such as JAWS and keyboard navigation.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Experience supporting the financial industry on complex transformational projects.

  • Advanced video development skills using Vyond.

  • Experience developing fully accessible interactive PDFs using Adobe Acrobat.

  • Educational background in Instructional Design or Adult Learning (certification/degree is an asset).

Required Skills:

  • Accessible instructional design (WCAG 2.1 compliance)

  • Articulate 360 eLearning development

  • Learning needs analysis and stakeholder consulting

Preferred Skills:

  • Agile instructional design methodologies

  • Blended learning strategy and curriculum development

  • Video and multimedia development tools (Vyond, Adobe Acrobat)

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication
