Scotiabank’s Solutions Integration & Delivery (SI&D) organization within Global Technology and Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) is deeply connected and collaborative with Scotiabank’s business lines. The SI&D team supports strategic and operational goals with our global CIOs and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, highly performing enterprise infrastructure services.

In this role, you will have day‑to‑day accountability of all GTEP services provided to Payments & Information Security. You will work in close collaboration with all Infrastructure functions, Development teams, Executive stakeholders, Compliance and other business groups.

You will provide guidance and advice to a team of IT professionals that’s aligned to the bank’s strategic vision and objectives.

When required, there is travel within the Greater Toronto Area. You are fine with working off‑hours to assist with problem resolution or ensuring the systems are operational. You can also make yourself available 24x7 to ensure system availability for critical communication tools within Canada.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  • You can demonstrate strong communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills in English;
    Spanish and/or French is an asset. You also have good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business/technical partners and vendors.
  • You have at least 4+ years of professional working experience in an enterprise Information Technology department or division, providing services to clients across multiple locations and/or globally.
  • You have at least 2+ years of working experience in payments or Information Security.
  • You understand and can articulate strategies and roadmaps to various stakeholders, including C‑Level business and technology executives.
  • You have experience building strategic partnerships and a proven track record of driving continuous improvements to achieve business goals.
  • You are analytically inclined with extensive experience leading, informing and influencing key business decisions centered on strategic growth.
  • You can provide communication and alerts to the business lines regarding degraded or missed service levels as part of the problem‑management escalation process and proactively communicate any IT issues and upgrades to business lines.
  • You possess superior problem‑solving and decision‑making skills to resolve work issues while under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • You have a post‑secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or Business.
