Position: Director Payments Technology at Vancity
Elevate payment systems at Vancity as the Director of Payments Technology. Lead comprehensive modernization projects, ensuring secure and compliant payment solutions across all member channels.

This full-time permanent role prioritizes innovation in payments technology and fraud systems. You’ll engage with Payments Canada, define strategic roadmaps, and modernize payment rails including Interac and RTR. As a key leader, you'll shape the enterprise fraud engine and enhance security in member transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute payments and fraud technology roadmap

• Modernize payment rails for retail, SMB, and commercial members

• Deliver RTR connectivity for real-time payment experiences

• Ensure fraud controls are integrated in payment journeys

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on modernization initiatives

Requirements:

• 10+ years in financial services technology

• Hands-on experience with Interac, RTR, and EFT/ACSS

• Expertise in enterprise fraud engines and decisioning systems

• Strong knowledge of Payments Canada standards and programs

• Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into technology roadmaps
