Senior Support Engineer (Data & Analytics Operations)

Duration: 6 months (extension/conversion possible)

Location:

Toronto, ON or Waterloo, ON (Hybrid – onsite ONCE monthly)

• Support and maintain data and analytics applications in production environments
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application, job, and data issues
• Perform performance tuning across databases, applications, and cloud platforms
• Support deployments and operational changes using Dev Ops tooling
• Lead operational improvements and support incident/problem management processes
• Collaborate with project, operations, and vendor teams on enhancements and implementations
• Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation

• 4+ years supporting cloud-based data and analytics platforms
• Solid AWS experience (Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, S3, Athena)
• Experience with ETL tools (Informatica Power Center/IICS/IDMC)
• Robust SQL scripting and database experience (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
• Experience with Dev Ops tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, CI/CD, Ansible)
• Knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux, and large-scale data environments

• Exposure to Generative AI or Agentic AI
• Experience with SAP BI tools
• Mainframe exposure (COBOL, JCL, ZEKE, TSO)
• AWS or cloud certifications

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration
• Proactive, curious, and team-oriented mindset

• Operational support role with participation in rotational/on-call support
• Hybrid work setting with periodic onsite collaboration
• Role requires Reliability Clearance and enhanced background screening
