Sr. Business Systems Analyst - Java​/API​/Azure Migration

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Business Systems Analyst - Java/ API/ Azure Migration. This position involves supporting complex system updates, particularly focusing on Azure migration projects, requiring strong technical expertise in Java, Angular, API calls, and cloud technologies. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team on strategic modernization initiatives, including migration to Azure, with potential for extension.

• Develop detailed system requirements and technical specifications aligned with standards and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with business partners, technical teams, and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and communicate business system requirements.
• Design and recommend technology solutions by researching current system capabilities and working with solution architects and QA teams.
• Translate business requirements into comprehensive user stories, including functional and non-functional specifications.
• Support testing activities by translating requirements into test cases, defining expected outcomes, and assisting with various testing phases.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, including standups, story refinement, and effort estimation.
• Review design prototypes and documentation to ensure requirements are met.
• Collaborate with pod members and stakeholders to evaluate impact, manage integration, and define solutions.
• Conduct operational and process analysis to support project deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and enterprise architecture requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends to support continuous improvement.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout project lifecycle, providing timely updates and issue escalation.
• Support knowledge transfer and mentor junior team members on requirements management and analysis methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the team and processes.

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst with a focus on technical delivery.
• Proven track record working in Agile environments for over 5 years.
• Strong proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Recent hands-on experience (minimum 3 years) with Java, Angular, API calls, and Azure cloud platform.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Deep understanding of system analysis techniques, enterprise technology delivery practices, and SDLC methodologies.

• Experience with Behavior Driven Design (BDD).
• Knowledge of Data Marts and Data Integration.
• Previous work within banking or financial services sectors.
• Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodology.
• Prior exposure to development or testing within cloud migration projects.
