Elevate your career at Scotiabank as a Technical Analyst focusing on Equities in Toronto, Ontario. This role combines technical expertise with strong communication skills, bridging the gap between trading desks and engineering teams.
As a Technical Analyst in Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME), you will support front office applications for ETF and GED desks. Your work will include defining user stories and managing testing processes to deliver quality solutions efficiently. You will be expected to communicate effectively with stakeholders and have strong knowledge of cash equities trading flows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Translate high-level business requirements into detailed user stories
• Validate functionality and ensure alignment with business outcomes
• Collaborate with developers for implementation validation
• Execute functional and regression testing as required
• Maintain ownership of deliverables through the full lifecycle
Requirements:
• 5+ years as a Technical Analyst or BSA in capital markets
• Intermediate Python proficiency for tests and scripts
• Experience with Jira and Confluence tools
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with trading workflows and systems
