Duration: Equivalent to minimum 520 Hours (or 3 months minimum)

Work location: Fully remote (with opportunity to work hybrid from Toronto or Chicago)

Compensation: Hourly (paid in equity compensation equivalent to CAD $32-35/hour)

The Vosyn internship is unique. Remuneration is equivalent to $32.00 CAD per hour payable in common shares of the Corporation at the then fair market value. For greater clarity, NO cash in-hand (in hourly rate or salary) will be paid to the Intern. Instead, Vosyn being an AI start-up, the upside is in potential future value of said shares based on the hours worked, billed and approved.

We are looking for an experienced Word Press Developer to join our Website team within the Marketing and Communication department. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing our Word Press website to ensure a seamless user experience and strong brand representation. The ideal candidate is skilled in front-end and back-end development, has a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about creating high-quality websites.

• Website Development and Maintenance: Build, update, and maintain Word Press websites, ensuring functionality, speed, and accessibility across devices and browsers.
• Customization and Theme Development: Develop custom Word Press themes, templates, and plugins to support unique website features and requirements.
• SEO and Performance Optimization: Optimize website speed, SEO elements, and performance to improve search engine rankings and user experience.
• Content and Design Integration: Collaborate with the content and design teams to implement visually appealing layouts, graphics, and multimedia elements.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve technical issues, perform regular website audits, and ensure site security and stability.
• Plugin Management: Manage and update plugins to maintain website functionality, security, and compatibility with the latest Word Press versions.
• Analytics and Reporting: Use tools like Google Analytics to monitor website performance, track user engagement, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Stay Updated with Word Press Trends: Keep up with the latest Word Press developments, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the website remains innovative and competitive.

• Currently pursuing an MBA or related Master’s field degree, with a focus on communications or marketing.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights to cross-functional teams effectively.
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a solid understanding of responsive design.
• Experience with Word Press theme and plugin development/customization.
• Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and performance monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic startup environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
