Overview
Senior ETL Developer – IBM Data Stage & Unix
Responsibilities- Develop and implement ETL solutions
- Design and build Data Stage jobs to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target data warehouses or data marts
- Data Warehousing and Data Integration: focus on data warehousing and data integration projects, ensuring data consistency and availability for business intelligence and analytics
- Performance Tuning: optimize the performance of ETL processes to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data processing
- SDLC and Agile Methodologies: participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and potentially work within agile frameworks
- Collaboration:
work with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions - Production Support: may be involved in providing support for existing Data Stage jobs in production, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
- IBM Infosphere Data Stage: strong proficiency in using Data Stage for ETL development
- SQL and Databases: solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle
- ETL Concepts: deep understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data integration best practices
- UNIX/Linux: experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems, including scripting (e.g., Unix Shell Scripting)
- Data Modelling: familiarity with data modelling concepts and techniques
- Agile and Dev Ops: experience working in agile environments and potentially with Dev Ops practices
- Additional Technical
Skills:
8+ years of strong design, development experience using C#, .NET Core, Web API, Angular/React, ASP.NET, MVC; 3+ years with SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase, complex procedures and SSIS; experience with Dev Ops tools (Git, Jira, Jenkins); familiarity with container-based technologies is a plus - Nice to have: cloud platforms, big-data technologies, Linux/Windows application setup, APAC Regulatory Reporting experience
