Job Summary:

The Lead Data Analyst will play a critical role in bridging business and data teams by gathering and translating business requirements into high-quality, analytics-ready datasets. This role combines strong business analysis capabilities with hands-on data expertise, supporting data warehouse design and downstream data consumption. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders, data modelers, developers, and QA teams, primarily using Databricks on Azure to support capital markets and marketing analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document high-level business requirements by engaging with stakeholders
• Perform data profiling, analysis, and curation activities
• Design and support data warehouse solutions for GWAM and ad-hoc analytics needs for marketing teams
• Collaborate with data modelers on:
  • Dimensional and star schema design
  • Fact and dimension table structures
• Build, prepare, and validate datasets for downstream reporting and analytics
• Utilize Databricks on Azure as the primary data platform
• Act as a liaison between business users, developers, and QA teams
• Ensure data is well-documented, accurate, and aligned with business requirements

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in Capital Markets with strong understanding of public and private markets
• Strong hands-on data experience including:
  • Data warehouse design
  • Dimensional/star schema concepts
  • Fact and dimension tables
  • Experience with data warehouse and/or data lake development
  • Strong data profiling and data analysis skills
  • Experience creating and maintaining data documentation
  • Experience with SQL-based data platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, Mainframe, or similar)
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in banking or insurance environments

Skills:

• Experience using Databricks on Azure
• Azure cloud experience (high priority)
• Experience with GenAI tools as an end user to improve productivity
• Exposure to private markets
• Experience with Adobe Digital Platform / Customer Data Platform (CDP)
