The Delivery Lead is responsible for elevating the organization’s delivery capability by fostering a culture of agility, continuous improvement, and human‑centered collaboration. This role partners with engineering teams, product leaders, and engineering leads to guide the adoption and maturity of the Agile mindset. The role serves as a mentor, facilitator, and change agent, helping teams improve ways of working, strengthen product engagement, and achieve measurable outcomes that align with strategic business value.

This position contributes to the overall success of the Core Banking Engineering teams and to the organization’s top priorities.

• Leverage previous experiences in adapting core principles to real‑world application – using this to upskill our leads and team members.
• Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and new Agile practitioners to build the right mindset.
• Help leaders understand their role in supporting Agile teams and shifting traditional command and control behaviors.
• Act as a trusted advisor on Agile practices, product strategy alignment, and organizational impediments.
• Promote a culture of accountability within the team.
• Introduce, measure, and refine Agile metrics using delivery data such as cycle time, throughput, and trends to evaluate team health and customer value delivery.
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to guide improvement experiments and support evidence‑based planning – improving delivery practices, and adopting data‑driven decision making.

• Maintain awareness of industry best practices and incorporate modern coaching techniques and tools.
• Support the design and rollout of delivery strategies across departments or portfolios.
• Coach teams on Agile values, principles, and mindset to improve flow, predictability, and quality.
• Observe, evaluate, and lead‑by‑example on Agile ceremonies (retrospectives, sprint planning, standups) while enabling teams to self‑facilitate.
• Partner with leaders to build an environment where autonomy, trust, psychological safety, and continuous learning can thrive.
• Promote cross‑functional collaboration to improve end‑to‑end delivery flow.

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day‑to‑day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

• Post‑secondary education and/or experience in relevant positions or field of employment.
• Relevant certifications are an asset, for example:
• Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Agile Coach (CEC/CTC)
• SAFe, Kanban, or Lean certifications.

• Working experience in Agile environments across engineering or product domains.
• Successful engagements in previous roles as Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Delivery Lead coaching multiple teams.
• Proven experience driving organizational‑level transformations or modernization efforts.
• Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean) and scaling approaches (SAFe, LeSS, or similar).
• Strong facilitation, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to coach at all levels—from hands‑on delivery teams to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated success improving team health, delivery flow, and customer‑centric practices.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
