The scope and responsibilities of this role require a professional with demonstrated technical and operational cybersecurity experience, rather than an entry-level candidate. • Define, enforce, and monitor security controls to reduce risk associated with privileged access, critical systems, and sensitive data
  • Enhance security monitoring and detection capabilities by improving alert quality, tuning detection logic, and supporting incident investigation and response
  • Design, implement, and refine security automation and response workflows to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness
  • Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning, risk-based prioritization, remediation tracking, and program improvement
  • Administer and optimize email security controls, and respond to phishing, malware, and other email-based threats
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to address security gaps and strengthen controls
  • Contribute technical expertise to broader cybersecurity initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and emerging threat awareness
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive hands-on experience in cybersecurity or a closely related information security role.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, administering and improving enterprise security capabilities in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in Privileged Access Management, SIEM/security monitoring, SOAR, vulnerability management, email security, or security engineering.
  • Experience working with enterprise security technologies, processes, and incident response practices.
Benefits
  • Competitive offer packages
  • Government organization and a member of the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
  • Close access to Transit and UHN shuttle service
  • Flexible work environment
  • Opportunities for development and promotion within a large organization
  • Additional perks (multiple corporate discounts including travel, restaurants, parking, phone plans, auto insurance discounts, on-site gyms, etc.)
