Who You Will Work With:

The intern will join Interac's Money Movement product team, working closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders. You will contribute to shaping product features, gathering insights, and driving key initiatives.

You are someone who can quickly understand (or rapidly learn) the payments ecosystem, demonstrate strong strategic capability, and bring fresh, forward looking ideas to work.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the Product team in day-to-day activities with stakeholder groups (squads, sales, engineering, marketing, and partners) to address product-related issues and concerns.

  • Support early-stage strategy development for Interac e-Transfer in the retail, commerce, and business spaces

  • Provide general support to the product roadmap, defining requirements, conducting product research, and assisting in squads to deliver corporate objectives

  • Conduct market research and analyze user feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements

  • Prepare documentation and conduct research as requested by the squad and/or product team

  • Work with large, unclean data sources to visualize/democratize data and insights, assess emerging themes, and showcase how solutions could fit within the broader ecosystem

  • What You Bring:

  • Currently completing an undergraduate degree from a creditable Canadian institution with a focus on Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, Data Science, or a related field

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, written, verbal communication, organization, and time management skills

  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment and work independently

  • Experience with data analysis, research and tools (Google Analytics/Sheets, SQL, Tableau, MS Excel)

  • Ability to translate user feedback into actionable product insights

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, MS Teams) with a preference for working knowledge of Excel

  • Experience with SQL or Python for data analysis

  • Experience with product management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana

  • Interest in software development or technical background

  • Familiarity with product development processes and agile methodologies

  • What We’re Offering:

The hourly pay range for this position is $22 to $25, and the internship term runs from May to December 2026. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge. An internship opportunity at Interac also features:
