Job Title:
Sr Support Engineer, Data & Analytics Operations
Duration: 6 months (Possibility of Extension/Conversion)
Hybrid – expected onsite once per month for town halls and monthly team events (subject to change).
Monday–Friday, flexible between 8:00–4:00, 8:30–4:30, or 9:00–5:00. Start time must be no later than 9:00 AM.
* Must be eligible for Reliability Clearance (Should have been in Canada for 5 years)
The Senior Support Engineer is a member of the Data & Analytics Operations Support team, which is responsible for supporting production applications within the Data & Analytics platform both on premise and in the Cloud.
The support that this team is responsible for is two-fold with concentration on core legacy applications to maintain and support processes in multiple Data Warehouses, Business Intelligence, Data Integration applications as well as be part of the exciting new world of Cloud technologies.
Our team is responsible for safeguarding our client’s data, making sure it is available and current when Advisors and Clients need it therefore, this role required 24x7 support on a rotational basis and is subject to Over Time.
In this role, to protect the data in which we support, we require Reliability Clearance Certification which is granted through the Government of Canada. This includes Enhanced Security Background checks and fingerprinting by the RCMP.
If you have a background or education in Computer or Data Science, Engineering, Software Development or IT Application/Technical support, this role may be for you.
Must Have
Skills:
1. 4+ Years of experience with the following Cloud technologies is required:
· Big Data solutions preferably using Amazon Web Services (AWS) or equivalent Public Cloud
· AWS or equivalent Cloud Certifications
· AWS Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and Python/R
· Hive/Athena, EMR, S3 and querying in Linux and SQL Servers
· ETL Tools;
Informatica (IICS) on premise or Cloud (IDMC)
· Very large data sets, ability to build programs that leverage distributed computing
· Dev Ops tooling;
Bit Bucket, CICD Pipeline, Ansible, Jenkins
· Git Hub Copilot
· SQL Scripting
2. 4+ Years of experience with the following Datawarehouse & Analytics technologies is required:
· Datawarehouse (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) environments
· ETL Tools:
Informatica Power Center/Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
· Databases:
Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, flat files
· Knowledge/Experience in Windows and Unix
· SQL Scripting
· SAP technologies:
Universe Designer, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reporting
