Senior Technology Architect – Network & Security Infrastructure (Public Sector)

Stafingo is hiring for a leading public sector client in Ontario seeking an experienced Senior Technology Architect with deep expertise in enterprise network security, F5 technologies, and large-scale infrastructure environments.

This role is ideal for a senior-level infrastructure and security professional with strong hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and supporting highly available enterprise network and cloud security solutions within complex enterprise environments.

The successful consultant will support mission‑critical infrastructure initiatives, security operations, vulnerability management, and modernization efforts while collaborating with technical teams, architects, and leadership stakeholders.

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network and security architecture solutions.
• Provide senior-level expertise for F5 LTM, F5 APM, F5 ASM, and F5 GTM.
• Configure and maintain enterprise security technologies such as Check Point firewalls, Broadcom Proxy
  
  SG, Zscaler ZIA, enterprise proxies, load balancers, and build and support clustered high‑availability infrastructure environments.
• Perform advanced network traffic and packet analysis for troubleshooting and threat analysis.
• Conduct and oversee technical vulnerability assessments across enterprise environments.
• Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure security initiatives.
• Administer and support remote access and secure connectivity infrastructure.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams on enterprise modernization projects.
• Support incident remediation and enterprise security operations activities.
• Develop technical architecture documentation, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
• Participate in after‑hours migration and deployment activities when required.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards, policies, and best practices.

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in computing and information security environments.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience with F5 LTM, F5 APM, F5 ASM, and F5 GTM.
• Strong experience with clustered enterprise firewalls, load balancers, enterprise proxies, and high‑availability infrastructure environments.
• Advanced technical experience with Check Point, Broadcom Proxy
  
  SG, and Zscaler ZIA.
• Advanced understanding of networking technologies, enterprise security architecture, and information security best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of network protocols, web protocols, authentication protocols, packet analysis, and network traffic analysis.
• Experience performing and leading technical vulnerability assessments.
• Experience supporting large enterprise LAN/WAN wired and wireless environments.
• Experience designing and implementing clustered enterprise network and cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Experience administering remote access infrastructure and enterprise connectivity platforms.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting, Windows scripting, and Python.
• Familiarity with intrusion detection technologies, vulnerability assessment tools, and perimeter network security.
• Strong understanding of enterprise information security, cloud security, network security, application security, cryptography, and key management.

• Perform all assignment duties related to the enterprise network and security architecture.
• Support implementation, remediation, operational, and migration activities.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and architecture recommendations.
• Deliver additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

• 10+ years of expert-level experience with F5 LTM, APM, ASM, and GTM.
• 10+ years of progressive enterprise infrastructure and information security experience.
• 10+ years supporting enterprise clustered firewalls, load balancers, and proxy environments.
• Solid experience with Check Point, Broadcom Proxy
  
  SG, and Zscaler ZIA.
• Advanced networking and security architecture expertise.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
