Role: Observability Engineer – Trading

Client: Elite Fin Tech

Compensation: $120,000 - $250,000 CAD + Bonus

Location: Toronto

My client are seeking an Engineer with strong Linux experience and expertise within the Observability space.

The organisation uses a number of different tools to monitor their extensive estate.

Observability:
Working across monitoring and observability platforms within a trading environment.

Infrastructure Monitoring:
Supporting and enhancing monitoring across a large scale estate.

Collaboration:

Working with multiple technical teams to ensure visibility and reliability across systems.

• Monitoring Tools:
  Working with tools such as Victoria Metrics, Prometheus, Grafana, Vector, ELK and Alert Manager.
• Linux:
  Operating within a Linux based environment.
• Automation:
  Utilising Python where required.
• Version Control:
  Working with Git.
• Container Environments:
  Supporting environments where Kubernetes understanding is advantageous.

• Observability:
  Strong experience within the Observability space.
• Linux:
  Strong Linux experience.
• Tools:
  Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Victoria Metrics, Vector, ELK and Alert Manager.
• Programming:
  Python knowledge.
• Version Control:
  Experience with Git.
• Kubernetes:
  Understanding of Kubernetes is a distinct advantage.
