Job Description
OpportunityWe are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Manager, External Counsel Management to oversee third-party risk management activities for external law firms. The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert in working with key business partners and centers of governance for overall due diligence activities for external law firms.
What will you do?Supplier Risk Management (SRMA): Manage end-to-end lifecycle of 100+ SRMAs for law firms, ensuring alignment with RBC’s risk frameworks and timely completion of assessments.
Control Assessments: Coordinate Supplier Control Assessments (SCAs) by collaborating with suppliers and IT Risk teams to review control documentation, identify gaps, and evaluate risk mitigation strategies.
Risk Oversight: Monitor control deficiencies, prepare risk summaries, and elevate findings to senior management for risk acceptance decisions.
Remediation Tracking: Track remediation action plans, engage with suppliers to validate progress, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Governance & Compliance: Maintain records of risk findings, remediation status, and cyber incidents.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and Risk teams to align third-party risk practices with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
