Senior Manager IT Risk & Controls Engineering

Elevate Scotiabank’s IT risk management practices as a Senior Manager in Technology Controls Engineering, focusing on automation and data-driven insights. Work collaboratively across all technology functions.
This senior management role directly supports the Director of Technology Control Testing. You will be responsible for the effective execution of control tests while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Engage with the entire organization to foster a robust risk culture through ongoing coaching and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design automated workflows and data-centric controls

• Advise risk owners on compliance and governance

• Monitor high-risk processes and implement improvements

• Collaborate with different business units for best practices

• Lead coaching initiatives for team members on risk programs
Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Technology Risk or Operations

• 5+ years of executive reporting in technology

• Proven experience in automation and security engineering

• Familiarity with risk frameworks such as COBIT or NIST

• Strong background in IT project management principles
