Quality Assurance Team Leader and Business Analyst (Position Filled)

Overview

The QA/Business Analyst will lead a team of 3–6 testers, coordinate testing activities with the development team, and ensure all solutions satisfy documented business requirements. This role develops test plans and test cases, collaborates with account managers to verify and validate results, and reports on defect resolution.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of 3 to 6 QA testers.
  • Develop test plans and test cases for functional, regression, security, and performance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, and report on defect status and resolution.
  • Verify defect resolution in coordination with the development team.
  • Prepare effort estimation and conduct all aspects of testing including manual and automated tests.
  • Define project scope and technical specifications, set clear goals, prioritize activities, and ensure milestone completion.
  • Manage release coordination and system performance validation.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Quality Assurance and/or Business Analysis.
  • Experience leading QA teams.
  • Experience in end‑to‑end functional testing including release management coordination.
  • Experience in functional (black box) and white‑box testing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of web software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in analyzing business and functional documents, writing and executing test plans.
  • Ability to create test strategies, test scripts, scenarios, and test cases for both automated and manual testing.
  • Strong documentation skills for software defects and program functions, tracking their resolution.
  • Ability to resolve pending issues, prepare effort estimation, and certify releases.
  • Ability to define project scope, technical specifications, set goals and expectations, prioritize activities, and facilitate gathering of requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, problem resolution, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Experience with SDLC and application release management.
  • Experience presenting projects to upper management, presenting complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Nice to Have
  • Expertise with Selenium, Selenium IDE, or scripting for automation.
  • Experience with PHP unit, HTML, CSS.
  • Certification as Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE).
