Elevate your engineering career with Thumbtack's Site Reliability Engineering team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will enhance system reliability and scalability in a collaborative, innovative environment.
In this senior role, you will leverage extensive experience in AWS and Linux to design robust software and systems. The focus will be on scalable solutions that minimize service disruptions while working closely with product development and backend infrastructure teams. You'll also analyze and improve performance, ensuring an efficient deployment process across Thumbtack’s platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain software for enhanced service availability
• Set architectural direction for infrastructure and platform services
• Troubleshoot and debug critical systems throughout the SDLC
• Implement tools for deployment and infrastructure management
• Participate in rotating on-call duties for system reliability
Requirements:
• 5+ years managing infrastructure and systems
• Extensive fluency in AWS and Linux environments
• Proficient in Python, Go, PHP, or Java Script
• Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems
• Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams
