Step into a pivotal role as an Intermediate Actuarial Analyst concentrating on strategic climate risk. Leverage your programming skills in Python and R to analyze vital climate datasets in a flexible hybrid work environment.
In this intermediate role, you will support Risk Management activities by assessing climate-related risks and their implications for the insurance industry. Key responsibilities include monitoring catastrophe-related risks, conducting research on climate hazards, and collaborating with both internal and external teams. Your analytical insights will play a crucial part in informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess emerging climate-related catastrophe risks
• Analyze geospatial datasets using Python and R
• Develop and calibrate catastrophe models
• Communicate findings through reports and dashboards
• Enhance data workflows and analytical efficiency
Requirements:
• Degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Completion of 4 CAS exams and 2-3 years of experience
• Proficiency in Python and data analysis libraries
• Ability to manage and analyze complex datasets
