Position Overview:
As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Administrator
, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our SFMC platform to support multi-channel marketing efforts, working closely with our digital marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, supported by a relevant educational background in marketing, business, or a related field. You will be responsible for overseeing and customizing SFMC features, designing and implementing email marketing campaigns, customer journeys, and reporting workflows, and ensuring data integrity and audience management.
Additionally, you will provide support and training to internal users while troubleshooting issues to optimize platform performance. Your role will also involve collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and to accommodate the growth of our business and evolving marketing strategies.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Platform Management & Administration
- Configure and maintain the Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, and Cloud Pages.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and security settings.
2. Campaign Support
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement multi-channel campaigns using SFMC tools.
- Build and manage automated customer journeys and workflows.
- Support the execution of personalized email campaigns, leveraging AMPscript and dynamic content.
3. Data Management
- Oversee data integration between SFMC and Salesforce CRM (or other connected platforms).
- Manage data extensions, segmentation, and subscriber lists to ensure data hygiene and compliance with CASL (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation).
4. Optimization & Reporting
- Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights through reporting and analytics tools.
- Optimize email deliverability and engagement rates using A/B testing and industry best practices.
5. Integration & Technical Support
- Ensure seamless integration of SFMC with other Martech tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CMS platforms).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, coordinating with Salesforce support if necessary.
Qualifications:
Education
- Post secondary college and/or degree in Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience managing Salesforce Marketing Cloud in a business environment.
Certifications
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Administrator, Email Specialist, or Consultant) are a strong asset.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, HTML/CSS for email design and customization.
- Strong understanding of data extensions, API integrations, and marketing automations.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Connector is highly desirable.
