As part of Lyft's Data Science Team, you will partner with Engineers and Product Managers to frame and analyze complex problems. Your tasks will include exploratory data analysis, building machine learning models, and writing production-level code to implement these models. This position offers opportunities to design experiments and derive insights that influence strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Frame mathematical and business problems with various teams
• Perform data analysis to drive understanding
• Develop and fit statistical or optimized models
• Collaborate with Software Engineers for production code
• Conduct simulations for live traffic experiments
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline like Statistics or Computer Science
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Expert in Python or other programming languages
• Proficient in data querying and visualization
• Strong collaborative communication skills
