Strategio - Delivery & Testing Analyst - Hybrid, Toronto, ON The Opportunity
Strategio is supporting a major transformation initiative within one of Canada’s leading institutional investors. As part of this journey, we are looking for a Delivery & Testing Analyst to help bridge Finance and Technology teams in the context of Private Markets investments, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real assets.
This role focuses on ensuring that investment workflows, capital activity, and valuation processes are accurately translated into system capabilities and data flows.
About youYou are naturally curious, detail-oriented, and highly organized. When reviewing a workflow or requirement, your instinct is to identify edge cases, exception paths, operational risks, and failure scenarios rather than focusing solely on expected outcomes.
You understand that effective testing goes beyond executing scripts—it requires understanding how users interact with systems, how data moves through processes, and where defects are most likely to occur. You are comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve productivity while applying critical thinking and human judgment to validate outputs.
As a Strategio Delivery & Testing Analyst, you will- Review business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications to identify testing needs and potential gaps.
- Design comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and validation plans covering both standard and exception workflows.
- Identify edge cases, operational risks, failure modes, and downstream impacts across complex business processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Validate data flows, system interfaces, and business processes across multiple platforms and applications.
- Support defect management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution activities.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate test case generation, documentation, and quality assurance activities while maintaining appropriate controls and review processes.
- Track testing progress, execution results, and quality metrics across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies, standards, and delivery processes.
- Assist with release readiness assessments and production deployment validation activities.
- 5+ years of experience designing and executing software testing and quality assurance activities.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify edge cases, exception scenarios, and operational risks.
- Experience validating complex business workflows and process-driven applications.
- Ability to identify gaps between business requirements and implemented solutions.
- Experience creating detailed test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
- Experience working with issue tracking and test management tools.
- Ability to analyze data and validate system outputs for accuracy and completeness.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve testing, documentation, or quality assurance processes.
- Experience with in Capital Markets, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Investment Operations, or Financial Services environments.
- Familiarity with Order Management Systems (OMS), trading workflows, allocations, settlements, or investment operations processes.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
