Data and Platform Solutions Developer (Microsoft SSRS, and Power Platform)
The company has an exciting opportunity for a Data and Platforms Solutions Developer to join our Development team. In this role you will support enterprise reporting, analytics and business platform solutions. The primary focus of the role is reporting and analytics (using Microsoft SSRS and Power
BI as a secondary tool). Additional job responsibilities are concentrated on low-code/no-code business applications development using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate).
Job Duties Reporting and Analytics
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models, SQL queries, analytics structures, and reporting solutions that support operational and analytical needs.
- Design, maintain, and evolve logical and physical data models supporting application, reporting, and analytics use cases.
- Provide application‑level SQL development expertise in partnership with development and delivery teams, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and well‑documented data access patterns.
- Maintain and incrementally enhance existing reporting and analytics assets, including report definitions, SQL query logic, and supporting data structures.
- Review and improve application SQL and data access patterns, providing performance, scalability, and data‑quality recommendations as appropriate.
- Support application‑level data changes and controlled data movement activities for development, testing, and solution delivery, in collaboration with Operations and database administrators.
- Support Operations by analyzing data‑related or solution‑related issues in non‑production environments and supplying technical findings or recommendations, without platform administration responsibility.
- Document data models, solution designs, configurations, and data flows across analytics and no‑code solutions to promote knowledge sharing and reduce single points of failure.
- Design, develop, and support low‑code/no‑code business applications and workflow automations on enterprise platforms, including ongoing enhancements and operational support.
- Partner with business users to improve solution usability, performance, data quality, and adoption across both analytics and no‑code solutions.
The role has high confidentiality expectations and no people management responsibilities or budget authority.
Requirements that are important to us- Minimum 5 years' experience working with Microsoft technologies including SSRS and Power Platforms (Power Apps, and Power Automate).
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with T‑SQL and relational data concepts, including query design and optimization in an application‑development context (Microsoft SQL Server).
- Experience maintaining and enhancing SSRS reports, including report logic and definitions.
- Hands‑on experience developing and supporting low‑code/no‑code business solutions using Microsoft 365 platforms (e.g., Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Dynamics 365).
- Experience using analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel.
- Experience supporting application‑level data changes and data migration activities, including ETL processes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services used to support application, reporting, and analytics solutions, including relational and non‑relational data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL and other Azure‑hosted data services).
- Base salary range of $80,000 - $95,000 annually; final compensation offered will be determined based on experience, skill set, education, training, and internal equity.
